FERPA operates in a high-mix manufacturing environment, regularly quoting, programming, setting up, and machining different components rather than relying solely on long-running production jobs. That experience allows our team to adapt to changing geometries, materials, quantities, and customer requirements.

Design for Manufacturability Support
A print may tell us what you need, but that doesn’t always mean it’s the most efficient way to manufacture it.
During the quotation and planning process, our team reviews customer prints with manufacturability in mind. When we identify a geometry, tolerance, feature, or other detail that could create unnecessary machining challenges, we communicate with the customer and recommend potential modifications when appropriate.
For example, a minor geometry change such as incorporating a 45° angle into an undercut can simplify the manufacturing process while maintaining the functional requirements of the component.
This collaborative approach helps address potential manufacturing issues before production begins.

FERPA supports a range of production requirements, with particular strength in short- to medium-run custom machining.
Whether you need a fast-turn order of custom components, a moderate production run, or larger recurring quantities, our team can evaluate your print, material, tolerances, quantity, and delivery requirements to determine the right manufacturing approach.
We also work with customers on prototype and lower-quantity projects when they are part of a larger production program.
That last sentence protects them somewhat from attracting endless one-off prototype RFQs.
